Hong Kong Festival Youth Wind Orchestra

The Hong Kong Festival Youth Wind Orchestra (Festival Youth): A Wind Orchestra Full of Energy and Smile. The Festival Youth was founded in 2003 by our Music Director, Mr. Carl CHOI and Conductor Laureate, Mr. John Koljonen. The idea was to provide a forum for young musicians in which to learn, share, utilize hard-won musical prowess, and foster creativity. By encouraging young, vibrant, talented students to co-operate with others having similar aspirations, we "graduate" lifetime interests in music, and nurture our musical leaders of tomorrow. In 2008, the Festival Youth (Division B) was established to encourage more younger students to join the big family.

The Festival Youth is a stepping stone to the HKFWO, with even more exciting musical opportunities at local and international venues.

We teach pride through music.
